Comments: I had a bicycle crash that required a plate and at least seven screws. The surgery was successful and was biking by 8 weeks. Dr. Papandrea suggested to consider a follow up surgery to remove the hardware if I had significant discomfort from the hardware and motion limitation. Since this persisted we had the follow up surgery 14 months later. This was an overwhelming success. My motion is better and the aches from the hardware are gone. Great advice.
